I’ve made changes to the ‘test’ side of PatientWorks, how do I put the changes into ‘production’?

Using the following steps will allow you to create a back up copy of the current production environment just incase there is a problem with any changes you may have made to the test Workflow.

1. Log into PatientWorks Workflow (previously know as App Studio) ‘production’.
2. Open the workflow via File -> Repository -> Open.
3. In the popup dialog choose the name of the workflow you want to update from ‘test’ and click OK.
4. When the Workflow opens go to File -> Archive -> Create Archive.
5. In the new dialog window select a path to save the file to.
6. Log into to PatientWorks Workflow ‘test’.

• If your ‘test’ and ‘production’ are on the same server follow steps 7 – 9. If you have two separate servers then complete steps 10 – 17.

7. Open the Workflow via File -> Repository -> Open.
8. In the popup dialog choose the name of the workflow you want to update ‘production’ with and click OK.
9. When the Workflow opens go to File -> Repository -> Save To -> (choose the name of the ‘production’ Workflow you want to update.
10. Open the Workflow via File -> Repository -> Open.
11. In the popup dialog choose the name of the workflow you want to update ‘production’ with and click OK.
12. When the Workflow opens go to File -> Archive -> Create Archive.
13. In the new dialog window select a path to save the file to.
14. Log into to PatientWorks Workflow ‘production’.
15. Open the archived version of the ‘test’ Workflow by going to File -> Archive -> Open.
16. In the new dialog window browse to the path you previously saved the ‘test’ archive to in step 5 and click OK.
17. Choose File -> Repository -> Save.
